3 DAYS TRIP TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK.

Tour overview.
Your 3 days trip takes you to the west of the country for an experience of one of the best scenic views in Uganda with a rewarding wildlife experience where you will spot multitude of animals and bird species. Queen Elizabeth National Park is a haven to over 95 mammal species, up to 600 bird species and popular for its magnificent landscape comprised of savannah grasslands, a series of sparkling crater lakes, sprawling grassy hills and shrubs as well as spectacular backdrops of the Rwenzori mountain ranges in a far distance. Expect numerous game drives through the Kasenyi plains for the best sightings of animals and birds in the Park including large herds of elephants, buffaloes, antelope species, lion prides, leopards among others. The biggest highlight of this trip is a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, a renowned 32km stretch of water joining Lakes Edward and George. This water channel is a home to a wide range of animals and birds including one of the world’s largest concentrations of hippopotamuses and countless Nile crocodiles. 

Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth N/P & evening game drive.
Pick up will be around Kampala or Entebbe and embark on a 7 hours’ scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a lunch stop along the way before you proceed to your pre-arranged lodge in the Park. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge and enjoy great views of the Park at the comfort of your deck or terrace before heading out for an evening game drive to lookout for some wildlife. This is the perfect timing for you to capture the magical sunset in the bush with a multitude of birds roaming the plains. Before nightfall, get back to your lodge to have dinner and an overnight stay.
 
Day 2: Morning game drive & boat cruise.
Wakeup to an early breakfast and set off by 6:30am for a morning game drive around Kasenyi plains best for game viewing. Expect to encounter a pride of lions, hyenas, buffaloes, elephants, the elusive leopard and many others along your 3-4hours drive in the savannahs. Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation before heading off for a remarkable boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. The cruise offers close range wildlife encounters of numerous animals such as hippopotamuses, crocodiles, giant monitor lizards, elephants, buffaloes and many others along the channel shores. For bird lovers, this an opportunity for you to spot a variety of bird species including kingfishers, African skimmers, fish eagles, pelicans, herons and many more. The cruise lasts for about 2 hours after which you will be driven back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight or proceed to a nearby salt lake for an experience about traditional salt mining.

Day 3: Departure. 
Today enjoy your relaxed breakfast and checkout to be driven back to Kampala with a stopover at Kikorongo equator for the equator line experience. Proceed with you picturesque drive and later making another stop for your lunch. Arrival in the city center will be in the late afternoon to be dropped off marking the end of your 3 days Queen Elizabeth National Park trip.
