Your 7 Days safari takes you to Uganda’s most iconic safari destinations namely Murchison falls National Park which is the country’s largest and oldest National park best known for the most powerful waterfalls in the world, Ziwa Rhino sanctuary which is the only home to the white rhinos in Uganda, Kibale forest National Park that houses one of the highest diversity and concentrations of primates in Africa and Queen Elizabeth National Park which is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife havens protecting up to 95 mammal species and over 600 bird species. You will as well dive into Uganda’s culture visiting Uganda’s coffee queen for an experience of local coffee processing, banana man for local brew processing and local communities for proper understanding of their values, norms and beliefs.

Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pickup and transfer to Murchison falls N/P via Ziwa wildlife Ranch – Night game drive.
Pickup will be very early in the morning from the Airport or hotel in Entebbe and hit the road for your journey to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary. You will meet the ranger guide for a briefing highlighting the dos and don’ts of Rhino tracking after which you will get back into your vehicle for a short drive to the starting point of your trek. Seeing these giants in their natural habitat is a thrilling experience since one gets remarkably close to them within 10-15 meters and watching them for about an hour. Lunch will be served at the sanctuary before proceeding to Murchison falls National Park. Check-in at your lodge will be in the late afternoon to have ample time for relaxation as you gear up for a night game drive. Early dinner will be served by 6:30pm so by 7pm you set off to embark on your night game drive looking after the nocturnal animals in the Park for example leopards, lions, civets, genets, spotted hyenas and many others. The night game viewing experience lasts for about 3 hours after which you will return to the lodge for your overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive – boat cruise & Top of the falls hike.
Arise very in the morning with packed breakfast and meet your driver guide to embark on a morning wildlife adventure in the Park’s savannah grasslands looking forward to encounter the early risers and nocturnal animals rush back to their hideouts. Animals to be spotted include herds of elephants, towers of giraffes, lions, buffaloes, oribis, warthogs, hyenas, hartebeests, side-striped jackals, Uganda kobs, reedbucks and a variety of bird species. Retire off the savannahs and return to your lodge for lunch before embarking on a boat trip to the bottom of the falls along the Nile River. During this session, aquatic life will be covered such as large concentrations of hippopotamuses, Nile crocodiles, giant monitor lizards basking along the River banks, water birds like the African fish eagle, king fishers and many others. The boat cruise lasts for 2 and a half hours after which you will proceed for a hike to the top of the falls. A hike to the top of Murchison falls is undoubtedly rewarding with tremendous views. You will enjoy the natural showers from the falls while having enough time for pictures before heading back to your lodge to have dinner and an overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest National Park.
Today morning enjoy your lazy breakfast, checkout and be driven to Kibale Forest National Park while capturing picturesque and charming scenic views along the way. Lunch will be served in Fort Portal where you will make a stop before embarking on a drive to the world’s primate capital. Arrival will be late in the afternoon to check-in at your pre-arranged lodge, have enough time to relax and later on have dinner and an overnight.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking – Bigodi Nature walk & an evening cultural immersion.
Your breakfast will be served as early as 6:30 am and report to Kanyanchu Park headquarters for a briefing about what is required of you during Chimpanzee tracking. Having been put into groupings with a maximum number of 8 people, you will be led by ranger guides into the rainforest to lookout for a specific habituated troop of our closest cousins. A typical trek will take around 3 to 5 hours including the one hour that you are allowed with the chimpanzees. Get back to your lodge for lunch after which you will head out for a guided walk through Bigodi wetland sanctuary which is a home to the Great Blue Turaco. Expect to encounter forest birds, numerous primates and other mammals. After a period of 3 hours while exploring this jungle swamp, sign out and embark on a cultural immersion into the neighboring local communities. You will have an experience of how coffee is processed locally from the plantation to cup, take part in processing local beer from yellow bananas as well as weaving baskets, mats and several other crafts. Don’t forget to dance to the local cultural musical performances before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – evening game drive.
Today morning you will wake up to a hefty breakfast and checkout for your drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with your first stop at the equator line in Kikorongo for an experience where the globe is divided into two equal parts. Proceed to your lodge, check-in and have lunch before embarking on an evening game drive through the Park’s Kasenyi plains. Animals to lookout for include elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, banded mongoose, reedbucks, Uganda kobs, hippopotamuses and many more. Have ample time to capture the magnificent sunsets with backdrops of the Rwenzori ranges before returning to your lodge to have dinner and an overnight.
Day 6: Morning game drive & Kazinga channel boat cruise.
Wakeup very early in the morning for your breakfast and hit Kasenyi plains for your morning wildlife viewing experience. Expect to encounter prides of lions on a hut, large herds of buffaloes, elephants, kobs, waterbucks, common warthogs, jackals, hyenas, rare and iconic bird species and many more. You will have enough time to lookout for a variety of animal species before returning to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will report to the Kazinga water channel for a boat cruise looking forward to spot large crocodiles lurking on the shores, herds of elephants and buffaloes quenching their thirst, scores of water birds and many more. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Day 7: Departure back to Kampala.
Arise to a relaxed breakfast in the morning and checkout to start your journey back to Kampala with your first stop in Fort Portal city to have lunch. After lunch you will proceed with your drive arriving in the evening to be dropped off at your hotel in Entebbe or at the Airport for your outbound flight back home marking the end of your 7 days safari in Uganda.
