3 DAYS LAKE MBURO WILDLIFE SAFARI.

Tour overview.
This is a 3 days trip to Lake Mburo National Park, a true hidden gem offering unforgettable wildlife encounters, peaceful safari experiences and stunning scenery. This National Park protects up to 68 mammal species most of which is not commonly found in any Ugandan National Parks and a home to over 315 bird species making it one of the country’s bird watching locations. Activities during your trip include game viewing both morning and evening drives through the Park’s savannah plains, a boat cruise along the famous Lake Mburo for aquatic wildlife and a guided walking safari.

Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo – evening game drive.
 Pickup will be from the hotel of your residence in Kampala or Entebbe and embark on a 4 hours’ drive to Lake Mburo National Park with a stopover at the Equator line in Kayabwe where the earth is bisected into the northern and southern hemispheres. Enjoy the equator line experience and later proceed to the Park arriving at your lodge in the perfect time for your lunch. Have enough time of relaxation at the lodge and later head out for an evening game drive where you will be looking out for the Park’s key wildlife species for example impalas, zebras, leopards, elands, topis, warthogs, reedbucks, waterbucks, hyenas and many more. Have ample time to capture sunsets with backdrops of giraffes before you return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight. 

Day 2: Guided walking safari – boat cruise.
Breakfast will be served early in the morning and hit the Park’s plains for an intimate 2-hour armed ranger led experience to spot wildlife species up close such as giraffes, zebras, impalas, topis, waterbucks and many more. This walking safari offers a quiet, educational and safer way to experience the African bush due to the absence of lions and elephants in this National Park. Return to your lodge for lunch before proceeding for a boat cruise along Lake Mburo which is the largest in the Park. Expect to spot water associated wildlife such as hippopotamuses, Nile crocodiles, giant monitor lizards, several birds like the African fish eagle, kingfishers, herons, African Finfoot, pelicans to mention but a few. Sign off the cruise and return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. 
     
Day 3: Morning game viewing and return journey.
Arise today morning for a scrumptious breakfast and checkout of the lodge into the wild for a morning game drive to lookout for several animals that you could have missed out in the previous activities. This morning drive in the wild may last up to 3 hours and later on proceed for your journey back to Kampala. Lunch will be served along the way as you also visit several craft shops to purchase some souvenir for yourself back home. Arrival will be in the evening to either be dropped off at your hotel in the city center or at Entebbe international airport for your flight back home.
