Your 3 days Kalangala getaway is a preternatural island excursion into the isolated top island on the northern shore of Bugala Island known to be the largest of the Ssese Islands in Lake Victoria. Kalangala is approximately 60km across the Victoria waters southwest of Entebbe. Expect a variety of activities during your 3 days trip such as a guided forest walk, a cruise along Lake Victoria, a visit to local fishing communities, Island drive, jet skiing (optional) and many more.

Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pickup and transfer to Kalangala.
Pickup will be at your hotel around Kampala or Entebbe and transfer to Nakiwogo where you will catch-up with the ferry to Kalangala. Setting off from Nakiwogo at around 1pm, the ferry takes up to 3 hours before arriving at around 4pm. Upon getting off the ferry, you will be transferred to your pre-arranged hotel where you will check-in and have ample time to relax as you capture the sunset kissing the waters of Lake Victoria. You will later on have dinner and an overnight stay.
Pickup will be at your hotel around Kampala or Entebbe and transfer to Nakiwogo where you will catch-up with the ferry to Kalangala. Setting off from Nakiwogo at around 1pm, the ferry takes up to 3 hours before arriving at around 4pm. Day 2: Forest walk – Island drive & evening cruise.
Enjoy your early morning breakfast and set off with walking sticks for a guided forest walk in the nearby rainforest where you will have an opportunity to spot numerous bird species, primates, butterfly types and many more. This is done with the guidance of an on-site guide to help you spot several wildlife species in the forest and dig deeper into details of each and every species spotted. Proceed to the nearby fishing village for an insight into their lifestyle. Hike back to your hotel to have an early lunch after which you will head out for an Island drive that lasts for about 1 and a half hours. Later on take a boat cruise along Lake Victoria while you enjoy the cool breezes as you sip a Ugandan made beer and capture a golden sunset kiss the Lake. Retire off the cruise back to your hotel for a campfire while enjoying drinks gearing up to have dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Return to Kampala.
Today have your breakfast served in the early morning and checkout to be transferred to where you will be catching up with the ferry back to Nakiwogo. By around 11am, you will be already at the docking site in Nakiwogo where our driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Kampala or Entebbe for your drop off marking the end of your 3 days Kalangala getaway.
