7 DAYS UGANDA WILDLIFE AND GORILLAS.

Tour Overview.
Your 7 days will be amazing spending them in Uganda’s three prime National Parks namely Murchison Falls National Park which is the country’s oldest and largest, Queen Elizabeth National Park famous for its diverse wildlife and unique landscape and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park globally known for protecting half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Therefore expect to spot 4 out of Africa’s big fives in Murchison and Queen Elizabeth National Parks with several animals like hyenas, giraffes waterbucks, warthogs, bushbucks to mention but a few as well as mountain gorillas in Bwindi. Admire Uganda’s beautiful scenery, birdlife and her rich cultural heritage.
 
Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Murchison falls – top of the falls visit.
According to the time of your arrival at the airport, your driver guide will pick you up, take you through a briefing about your 7 days Uganda wildlife and gorilla safari and immediately hit the road for your drive to Murchison falls National Park. The drive lasts for about 4 hours arriving to check-in at your lodge in the perfect time for your lunch. After lunch you will be driven to Murchison waterfalls where you will view and experience the power and thunderous sound of the world’s strongest waterfalls. You will enjoy the natural showers of water splitting from the falls as you spot a rainbow in the backdrop of the falls. You will have enough time to record enough videos and take numerous pictures before you return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive - afternoon boat cruise.
Wakeup to a scrumptious breakfast as early as 6:00am after which you will meet your driver guide to embark on a morning game drive looking forward to spot several animals such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, kobs to mention but a few with a variety of bird species. After spending up     to 4 hours in the savannahs, return to your lodge for lunch before heading out for a boat cruise along the Nile River known to be the world’s longest. Expect to spot the Park’s aquatic life such as hippopotamuses, crocodiles and several water birds. 
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – evening game drive.
Arise in the morning for your relaxed breakfast and checkout for your transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It will be an entire day’s drive though rewarding with beautiful scenery of undulating landscapes and scattered human settlements. Your Lunch stop will be in Fort Portal Uganda’s Tourism city after which you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening game drive as you lookout for several animals that roam the Park.

Day 4: Morning game drive – afternoon boat cruise.
Today morning, enjoy your breakfast as early as 6:30 am and meet your driver guide to embark on your morning game drive in the northern section of the Park known as Kasenyi plains. Animals to lookout for include buffaloes, lions, leopards, hyenas, warthogs, banded mongoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs to mention but a few with a variety of bird species. Retire off the Park’s savannah plains back to your lodge for lunch after which you will head out for a boat cruise along the Kazinga water channel that connects Lake George to Lake Edward. This water channel is known for its highest populations of hippopotamuses throughout the entire Africa. Expect to spot crocodiles basking along the shores with numerous animals quenching their thirst along the water channel. Return to your lodge to have dinner and an overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Today you will wake up to a busy breakfast and later checkout to hit the road for your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park known for its ancient and exceptionally biodiverse rainforest housing approximately half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. You will have a stopover in Kabale town for your lunch after which you will proceed arriving in the evening to check-in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking – Batwa cultural experience.
Arise very early for your hefty breakfast and meet your driver guide with your paced lunch to be driven to the Park headquarters where you will be briefed about what is required of you while tracking gorillas and allocated gorilla families. You will have a short drive to the starting point of your trek where you will be led by rangers into the Park’s dense forests to locate the gorillas. Trekking mountain gorillas lasts for about 1 to 4 hours depending on how far the gorillas could have moved and an hour is guaranteed for you to clearly observe there social interactions and other behaviors. Return to your lodge for lunch before heading out to the Batwa communities for their cultural experience. You will get an insight into their cultural values and how they survived in the forests. Return to your lodge for dinner and a overnight stay. 

Day 7: Checkout and departure.
Wake up as early as 8:00am for your breakfast, checkout of the lodge and start your journey back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for your lunch. Proceed with your drive to Kampala or Entebbe international airport for your outbound flight marking the end of your safari.
